Editorial standards
This page explains where our driver information comes from, how we describe compatibility and how to report an error.
Manufacturer sources come first
We use manufacturer support pages for model numbers, package names, supported systems and installation requirements. Windows and macOS instructions cite Microsoft and Apple documentation. Driver links point to manufacturer downloads or their support pages.
Checking model and system compatibility
- Match the complete model, including regional and wireless suffixes. A shared package must list the model in the manufacturer’s documentation.
- Keep operating systems and architectures separate. A Windows x64 download is not listed as an ARM, 32-bit or Windows Server download without explicit support.
- Describe packages by their contents. Easy Start and full software suites are labeled as setup packages, even when they are the only listed download.
- Check AirPrint and newer OS support for each model, including older USB printers.
Download information and updates
File entries show the manufacturer address, filename, recorded size where available and listed operating system. A listed file has not necessarily been checked for live availability or tested on a printer. Manufacturers can change downloads after we collect them; their current release notes take precedence.
When we have no file for a particular system, the page links to the manufacturer’s OS selector. Models without a full guide are identified as support listings.
Writing and translation
AI tools may assist with organising source material, drafting and translation. Compatibility statements still need a published source. PDrivers is responsible for the content on this site.
Content dates are recorded per page and language. A source-review date identifies when that official page was read; it does not verify a binary download or physical installation. Older pages keep their previous content dates until materially edited.
Corrections and advertising
Report a broken link, incorrect model or conflicting instruction through the correction link on the page. Include the page address and a manufacturer reference when available so we can check the change.
PDrivers currently has no display ads or affiliate purchase links. If commercial links are added, they will be labeled and kept separate from driver download buttons.
